At De Gracht, you don’t pay for the atmosphere, only for the game. Play during the day and enjoy lower rates; quiet hours deserve a little reward. In the evenings it gets busier, but so does the fun. Watching sports? Free of charge, as long as you don’t boo too loud.

The Perfect Mix: Bar Snacks & a Good Drink

At De Gracht, it’s all about the simple pleasures, something to drink, something to share, and time that seems to slow down on its own. At the bar, you’ll find everything from a classic Dutch kopstoot (beer with a shot of jenever) to a surprisingly good cocktail. A beer for the thirst, a jenever for courage, or a mixed drink for the moment. No fuss, just poured with love.

And then there’s the food. Think classic fried bites that hit the spot, a toasted sandwich straight out of a sports canteen memory, or a plate of cheese cubes with liverwurst, pickle and mustard just like grandma used to make. No haute cuisine, just honest comfort, perfect with a game of pool, a chat at the bar, or simply because the night’s not over yet.

At De Gracht, we like people who drop by more than once. That’s why we’re happy to team up with students, clubs, and regulars who’ve made this place their second living room. Become a member and play at special rates, whether you’re a die-hard player or just here for the good company.

We’re open to collaborations and special events, from tournaments to casual drinks. No rigid formulas, just fair deals. Let’s figure out what works best for your group or association, so everyone can enjoy De Gracht at their own pace, and price.

Fancy a game of pool?
here’s what you should know

Pool originated in 15th-century Europe and was once a pastime for kings and nobles. It started outdoors, but soon moved inside, with green cloth on the tables standing in for grass.

Over the centuries, it evolved from an elite pursuit into a game for everyone. Today, pool is loved around the world for what it truly is: a blend of focus, skill and pure good company.

Ask and You Shall Receive

Do I need to reserve a table for pool or darts?

For small groups, no need, just walk in and play. Coming with more than eight people or planning a company outing? Fill out the form on our Company Outings page so we can hold a few tables for you.

Do you show live sports (and which ones)?

We regularly broadcast live sports and are happy to tune in to what our guests want to watch. Want to see a specific match? Just ask at the bar, we’ll put it on.

Can I organize a tournament at De Gracht?

We host our own tournaments now and then, and teams are always welcome to join. Ask at the bar about upcoming rounds or how to sign up.

Can I book multiple tables at once?

You can, but only in person. If there’s a waiting list, we’ll let you know when tables open up. Company outing? Check out page and make a reservation.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

No outside food or drinks, sorry. We don’t require everyone to order, but on busy nights, groups who do get priority for tables.

Do you offer membership or student discounts?

Starting January 2026, we’ll introduce a membership system. Ask at the counter about joining and the perks that come with it. Students also get a discount with a valid student ID.
